Future Research Information Forum 2019

- Open and Share of Outcomes of National Research -

KISTI has held the Future Research Information Forum on the topic of open and spread of research outcomes for R&D innovation at EL Tower in Seoul on December 4th, 2019.

At the forum, KISTI awarded the knowledge share prizes for nine scientists who have created superior research outcomes of their own field.

Also, the persons of various backgrounds concerned with domestic and/or international R&D discussed open and spread of R&D outcomes for innovation of science and technology.

Professor Kwak Jaewon of Gachon University delivered keynote address on 'It's a turning point of strategy of the national R&D,' and Kazutsuna Yamaji, vice chairman of COAR, the confederation of open access repositories, also made a ketnote speech on 'E-infrastructure and Global Knowledge Commons.'

After the opening, the persons concerned divided into four tracks: Open Data, Open Access, Data Science, and R&D Innovation; and made presentations of policy trends, cases, and so on. This stressed importance of open and utilization of research outcomes for R&D innovation such as papers, research reports and data, and so on.
