KISTI Shakes hands with Presidential Council on IP, Dec. 16th

Presidential Council on IP hold its 4th KIPnet conference on Dec. 16th. KIPnet, founded last April, is a national consultative group for IP-related policies. Its main functions include policy proposal of IP creation, IP protection, and IP application, moreover stimulating all related organizations' communication and cooperation.


Yoon Jong-yong, chairperson of Presidential Council on IP primarily stressed the importance of human network, that of whom create, protect, and share IP information. Yoon also stressed that enterprises reaching for the global market need to get ahold of strong compatitiveness in IP field.


KISTI, along with 100 other related organizations·industrial groups, attended KIPnet and shook hands with Presidential Council on IP at IP·technology Evaluation MOU.


On the spot, KISTI agreed to cooperate with KTFC, KIPA, and KIAT on building a market-containable evaluation system, and integration of related evaluation·transaction information. It is highly expected that such mutual cooperation of KISTI, KTFC, KIPA, and KIAT will advance creating a industrial·financial ecosystem, according to Ko Gi-suk, director-general of IP strategy. Above mentioned organizations will: provide evaluation guideline for their users, spread the guideline on both public and private level, create and share the DB system, amplify newer cases, provide open evaluation management and policy support for IP finance revitalization.
